Forecasting Operations for Research Campaigns and Experiments (FORCE)

The Forecasting Operations for Research Campaigns and Experiments (FORCE) is made up of a team of experts who provide essential information to support campaigns and science.

FORCE is funded by NERC with the primary goal of providing forecasting services to FAAM and AMOF.

We enable efficient usage of the facilities and drive innovation with our research.

We provide state-of-the-art, near-real-time forecasting solutions to support the atmospheric research community.

Our operations are centred around the use of weather models (WRF) to produce forecast data.

We offer both flight planning resources and daily forecasting products for the duration of a campaign to use for both planning and decision-making.
